Dubai Customs is one of the earliest government departments in the UAE and one of the most critical to the trade based economy of this Emirate.

Dubai Customs using Oracle & Business Objects as Business Intelligence tools for their reporting requirements but unhindered growth had started to affect integrity of data as it was now located in multiple sources. InfoTech won the contract for the supply and installation of IBM Cognos BI & Informatica tools for Dubai customs eStatistics Project beating many established regional players. We were able to convince Dubai Customs to use IBM Cognos platform as the main technology for their datawarehouse & BI requirements. This project also involves delivery of professional level training on supplied technologies. The trainings will enable their team to use all functionalities on the IBM & Informatica technologies provided. After implementation of these IBM technologies Dubai Customs will be able access all data sources irrespective of platform, and provide detailed, understandable views of the data to all users, wherever in the world they may be. The BI ecosystem will be more robust, informative and timely yet far less complex.
