20 Nov InfoTech to facilitate EAC Develop Financial Sector and Implement Regional Integration
The East African Community (EAC) in partnership with the World Bank has pioneered the setup of EAC Financial Sector Development and Regionalization Project I. The project aims to strengthen the financial sector of the community by integrating the well-established functional financial markets (both money and capital markets), of the five partner states, namely; Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya.
InfoTech Pvt Ltd provided a comprehensive solution set for linking East African financial markets with the aim of achieving a single market, for both the Central Banks and Capital Markets. InfoTech will be deploying their Principal Capital Market Suite Capizar ATS along with Smart Order Routing and Interfacing existing Depository and Payment Systems. This project will be in line with that of the EU region. InfoTech will be undertaking the acquisition, implementation and sustainability of the required infrastructure to enable integration and an appropriate IT infrastructure accessible to all market players in all of the EAC Partner States. InfoTech has vast experience in the region and has successfully deployed and integrated the most innovative stock exchange in the African region namely in Ghana (GSE) and Zimbabwe (ZSE).
